where have we been??

we left for the annual san clemente beach trip on the 12th (rickys bday). we were so excited to get out of the heat. going to san clemente takes a lot of work. we camp so it is a lot of gear. i should have taken a pic of our car and trailer we had to haul our stuff over there. that first night after unpacking the car and getting our tent settled we headed to costco to get all our drinks and snacks. then we went out to dinner to one of ricky and mine's favorite restaurants Wahoos Tacos. so yummy. then it was pretty much the beach everyday. which takes a lot of work. we have to sunscreen everyone, load up snacks/drinks, make sure we have diaper, wipes, bottles, formula, towels, chairs and all the necessities for sitting at the beach ALL day. we normally went to the beach around 10 and came home around 5. what is more relaxing though then sitting on the beach all day. it just took a lot of work to get there. then when we returned from camp we had to shower all the kids and ourselves at the public showers. then we could relax again. race pretty much was on his boogie board the whole time. i had to really watch him because he thought he could go a bit too far out. kali loved the boogie board too but i think her favorite was sand crabs. trent loved the crabs too. tyson loved to sit with us and eat and watch people. averi just hung out with us too. the older boys swam out to this rock island a few times. it was about 600 meters so the lifeguard says. it is covered by seals. my parents came over to visit and go to legoland with us. they were there about 3 days. that was so nice of them to come. we couldnt have done legoland without them. we came home on the 21st. back to work and reality. we did go to legoland one of the days. that was fun. not recommended for kids older than 12. my kids loved it though and it wasnt too hot either. it is not as far inland as disneyland. The boys also did a triathlon on the 19th. it was pretty cool. ricky had fun doing one somewhere besides tempe.

Here are pics of Race, Kali and trent with a birthday sign for dad.

I can only imagine how much work it was to pack a family of 7 for camping. It looks like you had fun.
