moving

so yesterday we decided to move this saturday. we figured what are we waiting for? ricky wont have to drive near as far when we move. so i switched over the utilities and go the uhaul for saturday. it is official. my mom came and helped me pack on monday. we did the kids' rooms and their bathroom upstairs, and half of my closet, and my bathroom. we did a lot. yesterday i did the game closet down stairs, most of the frames and decor downstairs. ricky is taking quite a few of our larger pictures/mirrors to the house on his way to work. they are all things that we dont want to put in the uhaul. today my mom is coming back to help me with the kitchen. she likes the kitchen. it is sort of her area. i asked her to come help because she really gets stuff done. she doesnt stop.

ricky and i were released from our church callings on sunday. it is weird not to have a calling to be thinking about. i am sure we will get new ones soon.

have i mentioned that tyson is my biggest climber. he will pull out the kithcen chairs and climb all the way to the top of the table. he is crazy. he has fallen so many times too. you would think he wouldnt want to anymore.

i will post some pics of rickys tri he did last weekend soon. i am going to take some pics of races class today because it is official last day. tomorrow is his graduation.

tonight is my neices bonnies talent show. we will go watch. it will be cute.

anniversary

yesterday the 18th was our anniversary. 8 years. a lot has happened in 8 years. we have moved at least 7 times, 3 or 4 different jobs/careers, and 4 1/2 kids. that is a lot. life is fun with its different adventures. we have enjoyed it. we went out to dinner and a movie which was very nice because we have not done a date night in quite a while. we saw spiderman 3. it was very entertaining.

today was our last soccer game. i would say that kali does not like soccer. she never even wanted to play in the games or practice. she said she wants to do dance again. soccer loved it. he was so close 3 times today to score a goal, but didnt quite make it. he is a really good player. we definitely need to work with him at home. i want to try to find a swim team where we are moving. i think they would enjoy that. race wants to do a triathlon in october. it is ages 7-14 for kids. i dont know if he can do it though because he will just barely be 7 and the distance is quite long.

here is to a relaxing afternoon at home watching movies. my favorite.

thursday

quite a bit has happened lately. we went house hunting in gilbert. there were quite a few homes in the area we wanted, but not any that were the "one". we were getting pretty stressed out having to make a decision so quickly. my parents' old house, which is the house i grew up in is for sale. my dad offered for us to live there rent FREE. who can pass that one up. he didnt really want to sell right now because the market is so bad so it sort of works out. this way we can get our business going and have a little more money to build up our shop. we still need a computer and printer. it is not your normal printer either. it is some massive thing that you can print out separations with. anyways, we feel good about it. the kids will go to my old elementary school which will be funny. we are going to commit to a years time. after that we will head out to gilbert. this has been a big relief off our shoulders.

last night after soccer practice we went over to the heated pools and on our way out kali was all wrapped up in her towel and tripped over it and fell on the sidewalk. she busted her pervious scar open even worse. she ended up with 2 stitched inside for the tissue and 8 on the outside. it was pretty bad. you could see the bone. it really hurt her. i felt so bad. ricky and kali didnt get home until 12:30 last night. that is the ER for you. all the urgent cares around here closed at 8. this was about 8:15. we just missed them. she seems to be okay this morning. she says it is sore. no swimming for at least a week.

other than that drama last night we are all good. ricky has been busy. that is a good thing though. no complaints.

rocky point

we had so much fun last weekend in rocky point. ricky did really well on his triathlon. his time was better than the last so that was good. he wasnt even tired at the end either. his dad and brother jeff did well for their first time and his other brother scott got 3rd in his division and the brother in law derek would have placed also if they had the clydesdale division. it was very fun being a spectator on the beach instead of the street. heather and dereks condo was so fun. the weather was beautiful. we went to the pools and spa most of the off time. trent learned to really swim well thanks to kristen and jeff. i think that might be a new tradition for us. it was a great triathlon. ricky signed up for one more before the half ironman in october. there are about 4 good tris in AZ a year. ricky would like to do those main ones every year. it is a very fun hobby and healthy too. it is on my level because you really dont compete with others you just compete with yourself. i am not a really competetive person. i never have been. i remember in high school my dad would yell at me because i was always telling my tennis opponent good shot. i did play tennis most of my life and all four years of high school.

this is a good relaxing week. i need to play catch up. i havent had the best energy. i wish that would start kicking in. we do need to find a house. we have to be out in about 6 weeks. that is a little pressure since we havnt even looked. other than that just chill the rest of the week.

it is not letting me do photos right now, but i did send out some from costco so they would have been those same ones.

weekend

our weekend seems like it starts today. which leaves me one day short to clean my house, but that is okay. tomorrow morning we leave for Rocky Point for Rickys third triathlon in a year. He is doing great. I know he wishes he could do more, but they are all on Sundays. It is so frustrating. I think they are on Sundays for the road closure situation. Much easier than a Saturday. Anyways, we are heading down tomorrow. My sister Nanci is taking Trent and my other sister in law is taking Race and Kali. We are taking Tyson so it should be somewhat of a "vacation". Ricky is excited. We are coming back on Saturday after the race. I hope he does better than last time. That is his goal. It will be fun. Rickys dad and brother are doing it too for the first time and then the other brother and brother in law are doing it too. We will have 11 adults and 4 kids in one condo. Yikes! It is just one night though. I wish we could take all the kids and get out own place so we could stay two nights, but we dont want to spend the money on a place. Anyways, I will post some pics after this weekend.


American Idol last night was alright. I thought it should have been Latisha instead of Phil, but what can you do. I dont even vote. Tuesday night was great. The toss up for me is Blake, Jordin, and Melinda. They are all great. I really like Blake because he is so different. I loved his song on Tuesday night!
