twins!

my sister in law just had her twin girls. they are the cutest yummiest babies ever. London, baby A, was first and weighed 5.1. Brooklyn, baby B was second and weighed 5.5. They are all healthy. Holly did great. She didnt even go to the hospital until she was dilated to an 8. she is crazy. brooklyn is the one that had more close up pics and is the bigger baby. london is sprawled out. guess who is who. all is well.

the weekend

on wednesday we went to kalis 1st grade thanksgiving play. it was cute. she did great. it was all a surprise. she had fun. i love her little shy smile she does. she is so darn cute.

thursday-THANKSGIVING! we went to my moms for dinner. it was so yummy. she did some yummy herb flavored turkey. melt in your mouth good. then of course dessert was fantastic. brett and nanci, bobby and mary, and uncle jimmy were there. we were missing a few families this year. mary played a cute pin the feather on the turkey. everyone wrote what they were thankful for and then the kids pinned the feather on the turkey with them. it was a fun idea. then we came home and settled for about 30 min and ricky and i ran to michaels. they were having a 50% off sale on christmas trees from 6-9. we needed one so we went and got one. totally good deal. when we got home we set it up.

friday-i love black friday. i just love all the shopping. we woke up and decorated our tree and got out our christmas decorations. i think i am missing some but that is okay. then ricky and i hit toys r us. it wasnt bad. we got a lot off our list. it was fun. i just love it. the line looked really long but it went really quick, maybe 5 min. then we came home and gathered children and off to target for a baby shower present. i really wanted to go by the toys but we had all the kids. no fun. then we came home and i took kali over to my sister in laws to color the bottom of kalis hair red. tis the season! i colored my underneath last week and she wanted it done too. i picked up hair color at CVS and it looks really cute. then home and we made sugar cookies and decorated them. i know, early in the season, but i dont want the season to pass me by. i want to soak it all in this year. last year with averi being a newborn i was so into the season.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Happy thanksgiving! I am so thankful for my life. I just love my life. i wouldnt change anything about it. i have the BEST husband ever. How lucky am i that i get to have my best friend as my soul mate also? i am so lucky that we get to work together everyday. we are truly together 24/7. i love him so much. i couldnt imagine life without him.

racer-the leader. what would our family be like without the crazy nut. we just love him. he is such a HUGE helper for me. He is so good at home. he does whatever i ask right away on the first request. he is PERFECT in school. gets excellent grades and has good friends. his teacher loves him. i love race so much.

kali-the cutest funniest girl ever. she is so confident in herself, not in front of others but she doesnt care what other people are doing. she will do what she wants. she is a strong girl. i love it! she is my CUDDLE bug. she is always wanting to cuddle and gives great hugs and kisses. she is doing great in school. her teacher absolutely loves her to pieces. i love kali so much! I am so blessed to have her in my family.

trent-my trenters. he is so strong on the inside. he wants to play every sport and be the best. he thinks about triathlons everyday. he is a good helper around the house he picks up his room everyday. he is the most independent boy. he will be dressed with shoes and socks before we even are all awake. he is my LITTLE MAN. i love him so much!

tyson-my two year old. he definitely keeps me on my toes. he is pretty independent too. he can get himself dressed and have shoes and socks in his hands ready to go. he loves his dad. wherever daddy goes he wants to go. i love him so much. he is a smart little boy. he knows EVERYTHING. he is always listening. he knows things that he doesnt even need to know. he is so cute. i love that he is apart of my family. i am so blessed. i love him so much.

averi-my baby! she will always be the baby. she is the cutest, yummiest thing ever. she loves to play with hair. she always wants to be with mom or dad. she is the BEST baby. so easy. i just want her to stay 1 forever. i love her so much!

I am also thankful for the gospel. I love the gospel of JESUS CHRIST. where would my life be without it. I would not have any of the above, that is for sure. I am so thankful for him and his sacrifice for me. I am thankful for the plan of salvation. i can be with my family for the eternities. i am thankful for my extended family. they do so much for my little family. I am so blessed to have GREAT in laws. i truly feel like i am in my own home when i am with my in laws. i consider that a blessing. i am so thankful for my friends. they are always there when you need them or just want to chit chat. THANK YOU EVERYONE for all you do for my family.

ironman

go boys! they all did great. it was a cold cold morning. they were in the water around 6:45 then started their 2.4 mile swim at 7. Ricky did really well on the swim. 1:09. that was his best time. which is funny because he doesn't ever swim. he has only swam 3 times since april. he did great on the bike too. 112 miles. that was his fastest pace at 19 mph. of course the 3rd loop was the not so fun, we got the get me off the bike look, but other than that he was strong. Then the first loop on the 26.2 mile run was not so fun for him but after about mile 9 he felt great. he was ready to go. his brother scott who was in front of him was cramping up and so ricky caught him and they finished the race together. they have their photos together crossing the finish line. that was cool. ricky is probably not doing any more full ironmans anytime soon. he did not sign up for next year. as of right now he is signed up for a half in april in oceanside. so fun. he LOVES the half distance. way fun he says. Scott was great until he cramped in the run. he is a cramper. he did great though. derek did awesome. he got sick a few times but finished strong and with a good time. steve was awesome to watch. he did GREAT. he did a great swim especially for him because he was afraid of the swim. his bike was great too. he totally paced himself. he didnt enjoy the run so much but he finished strong and HAPPY as ever. we are so proud of our papa rogers.

i just had to add this post. i see these pics and cant help but think about grandpa manning. he is a young boy stuck in old mans body. i know he wanted to go play with the kids the whole time by the water and finally mustered up the strength to make his way over.
