moving

so we are moving to gilbert tomorrow. bitter sweet. we have had some good times here in phx. our kids went to a great school and we made some great friends. we go to bond with bobby, mary, ron, sam, and bonnie like no other. i hope i can do 5 kids without her. Averi was born in this house. it is the house i grew up in. so many memories of my own childhood and now some memories for my own children. it will be so sad to leave mary and her family. we are excited for our kids to get to the place where they will stay and make friends they will have a long time. ricky is excited to have a 10 min drive to work. for the last 6 years ricky has driven the valley everyday.

we will miss our current life but excited for our new life.

so if kali doesnt get her homework done she has to do it in on recess. so one of the last mornings of school kali forgot to do a page of her homework. we were getting ready to walk out the door. i told her too bad so sad but she wasnt having that. she ran to her big brother and im sure begged. i believe this will be the first of many times race does kalis homework. :) I couldnt help but take a picture. you can tell by her smile that she knows she is being sneaky.

kiddos update

so my trent learned how to tie his shoes this last week. he all of a sudden wanted to learn and that boy didnt give up. he kept asking and trying until he got it. now he is a pro. i dont think kali knows how yet. :) i am still not sure if we are putting him in kinder or 1st next year. what to do? trent is awesome! he is so competitive and the coolest kid ever. I LOVE THAT BOY!

Tyson is getting so much better in the pool. i am a bit relieved that our new house doesnt have a pool. no more worries. Tyson has been a stinker lately. I think his sweet terrible twos that never hit are hitting now. he is being a stinker. he is still hilarious and so fun to be with. tyson and averi missed each other so much on the camp out. i wish i had a picture of her when she saw tyson. SO CUTE!

race got excellent grades in 2nd grade. he had a huge book report that he had to present to his class and he got a 98%. he did awesome. he has grown so much. he is so sweet around the house. always helping with me and the other kids. he is such a good boy. i love him!

kali did great in 1st grade. she has grown up so much this year in looks, behavior and school. she is awesome. we have become just good friends this year. i love her!

averi is still working it as the baby of the family. she is the most loving 18 month old i have had. i get kisses and hugs all the time. she knows where her eyes, hair, head, arm, fingers, toes, knees, nose, tongue, teeth, belly button and back are. she loves her babies and jewelry. she is a girly girl. she is saying too many words to list. she is my earliest talker. she is so cute! I LOVE HER!

father and sons/cabin

last weekend was father and sons. the boys have been looking forward to it for a month now. tyson just went along with race and trent. he didnt know what was going on but wanted to go because all the boys were going. ricky took him last year but im sure he didnt remember. my mom, kali, averi and me all went to the cabin Thursday while the boys got ready to leave on Friday. Tyson had a rough night on Thursday because his mommy wasnt home. (so cute) he cried and cried. the boys took off early on Friday morning because they were just so excited. they were the first ones there. they took off their clothes and swam in a little creek. Ricky said they all had a blast. well, mr anti-social, ricky just hung with his boys. :) tyson was the youngest boy there. he got a lot of attention for all the youth.

my mom, kali and me had so much fun at the cabin. it was very relaxing. we went into flagstaff and ate, went to the coolest nursery ever and went to Target. so averi is really into bracelets. every morning she gets my hair bands and puts them on her wrists for bracelets. i couldnt find a bracelet at Target her size but we did find really cute hair bands. she wears them everyday. she actually wears about 4 or 5 on one wrist. hey it is cheaper, comfortable and way not stressful if she loses it. she is just so cute.

on Saturday the boys came to the cabin for one night. we went on our first fishing trip to the lake. it is so fun because we all fit in my moms Polaris aka the bus. the kids have so much fun on that thing. we took it to the lake because Kali was dying to go fishing. we are not that experienced in that area but luckily there was a cute couple down there that had all the "right' gear so they helped our kids all catch a fish. they had a blast. we roasted marshmelloes that night. we love the cabin!

mothers day

on friday night we went to dinner to celebrate my moms mothers day. i twas relaxing and fun. all the siblings with no kids. that is always fun. then saturday was nancis baby shower. she got a ton of cool stuff. it was a great shower. then bonnie watched the kids for me for mothers day, since she is here everyday she thought she should do something for mothers day. so ricky and i went to ski pro and i got a new swimsuit top and then we went to dinner. then we came home and i ate some cookie dough that was in my fridge. BAD move. so Mothers day morning i woke up to the toilet. YUCK! I didnt leave my room yesterday. I puked until about 12:30. then i started to feel a bit better just really weak. so now i am feeling better and i hope it was food poisoning from the cookie dough and no one else gets it. it hurt. no fun. really poopy mothers day for me. ricky took the kids to his sisters house for breakfast with his family. then we were bums the rest of the day.

crazy week

so this whole week is teacher and staff appreciation week at my kids' school. why did i sign up to be committee chair in the beginning of the year? that was not too smart. the school my kids go to is Madison Traditional Academy. They are heavily ran by parents. So it has been crazy. we organized so that each day the teachers and staff received something special. I emailed out to each home room parent last week the schedule of ideas and what they needed to do to help. OH MY GOSH! some parents really have a nerve. They were emailing back saying there was no time to do the memory book, the flower idea was going to be a pain and.....It was crazy how so many parents have opinions but then never head anything. Funny how that happens. Anyways, the week as been successful. Everything has worked out great. So last Friday I did posters with the kids at lunch and hung them in the hallways on Monday and they received a cute homemade pill box from another parent. Tuesday was candy bar day. Then yesterday was flower day. each child brought in a flower to their teacher and we made bouquets. the kids love doing that. OH MY GOSH i got in trouble for the vases. They werent JUST right. go figure. you go around and find the perfect vase for $2.00 and then make sure there are 25 of them. Thursday is memory book day. last week i sent home each child with a piece of cardstock and they made a special picture or scrapbook page for their teachers. then we are putting them in binders with page protectors and presenting them to their teachers today. the kids love that one too. then tomorrow is LUNCH for all the staff. I am in charge so of course Paradise Bakery. OH YEAH! through out the week there were other random fun things. all in all this was a successful week. BUT really, parents need to not voice opinions if not asked. :)

I went and registered my kids at their new school in Gilbert. I talked to the principal and he thinks I need to put Trent in first grade. I keep debating. he is struggling in kinder right now but the school they go to teachers a grade up so he is really doing 1st grade work. i cant decided. the new principal didnt hesitate though and he thinks i should put him in 1st grade. i would HATE to move him down if it didnt work out. trent couldnt handle that. what to do?

other than that it has been work, house and kids. :)

nice weekend

ricky worked friday. we are used to that around here. i love my fridays with ricky so we can run errands on a day the rest of the world is running errands. that is okay though. saturday he woke up early to go to a 2.4 mile swim at Saguaro Lake. then he went to gilbert to go see Wolverine with the boys in the family. he had fun. i stayed home with the crew and ate crappy crappy food. chips, chips, pizza, chips and dip. i felt like crap that night. i am sure i gained 2 lbs saturday. it was fun though. the kids swam, ran in the sprinklers and played the wii. it was relaxing. sunday ricky took boys on to collect fast offerings and then home. church was great. ony 3 more weeks in this ward and then we move. it is a bitter sweet. i know we are moving into a great ward but i do love our small primary. the kids learn so much and get so much attention. they will LOVE all the friends they will have in their classes though.

so on friday ricky brought home heather and dereks chihuahua puppy. they dont want him anymore so we are "trying" him out. i dont mind him. he doesnt run away and he is pretty good about going potty outside. no accidents yet. i just dont know if i want another dog. fozzy is just so easy. it is all for the kids though. we will see in a week if they still pay attention to him or not.

its official

we are moving to Gilbert June 1st. we are excited. it is going to be so nice to be 8 min to work. can you believe that since december we have put 15000 miles on our car? crazy. needless to say we are excited to drive way less. ricky will be able to put more hours in so there will be less overtime for our employees.

the kids are excited to be by family and have some friends on the streets. they are so sad to leave their school. race is the most worried. he has shed some tears about it. i think he will be shocked at how many friends he will have. he will be able to meet friends in scouts and church that will be at his new school.

what will i do without mary? i feel like i am getting a divorce and I am taking the kids from her. I feel so bad. my kids are going to have major withdraws. i will definitely have to see her EVERY week.
