Family Fun Day @ MTA
Last Saturday Trent had a T-Ball game and he did great. He is not very aggressive. He does exactly what the coach tells him to do. The coach tells him to stay on third he stays on third if you know what i mean. he did catch the ball one time because it was hit directly to him and he threw it to first. he is definitely paying attention.
Then we headed over to the Race and Kalis school for Family Fun Day. It was a carnival. The school did an awesome job. There was a dunk tank, bouncy things everywhere, a fire truck spraying the kids with water out of the hose, face painting, cotton candy, snow cones, jamba juice, hot dogs, tattoos, cake walk and a bunch of raffles. there was also a fishing game and kali and trent both won and we got to bring home two gold fish. i was not really happy with that but the kids were way excited. Bonnie and her friend ashley came with me to help. ricky went on a bike ride. yeah only one more week of saturday rides!

Good News!
Who doesn't want to hear good news about their kids. This was one of my emails I received today....
Hi Kristi,
My son, Sam and Race are in Miss Irby's class together. As we were driving to school today I asked Sam who he plays with at recess -- he said, "Race and some other boys." I asked him, "Of all your friends, who would you say is the nicest and happiest one." Without hesitation he said, "Race." When I asked, "If you were to describe Race as a person and what he is like, what would you say?" Sam said, "He is nice, fun, a fast runner, doesn't get into trouble and is a good student."
I love Race so much. He really is a good boy with a tremendous good heart. I am so proud to be his mom.

Easter/Update
Last Saturday Ricky took his Tempe Fire Test. There was no study guide for this test so he had no idea what to expect. He felt like he did okay. There were 1500 people there and he said they all looked like him. So we will see what he gets sometime the first week in April.
Sunday was Easter. We ditched church to go out to Rickys parents' house for our Easter party and dinner. The Rogers do a huge hunt for the kids. They each find 18 eggs that are all the same color or design and there were little goodies/toys in each one. The kids had so much fun. The food was yummy.

Also on Sunday we gave Averi her first taste of food. She actually did pretty well.

Monday was back to school and work. I didnt go to the shop so that was nice. I went to the gym. YEAH!!
Tuesday-I went to work for just a little bit while my friend Jenn watched trent and tyson. It was so fun to see her, Logan and Addi. Trent has so much fun with them. I am so happy for her doing so well. Ricky had his second EMT test. He was so nervous because this instructor makes his tests just like the National Registry test for your certification. Guess what? Ricky got 100%. Go Ricky. Everyone else in the class was not even close. Go Ricky. He is doing such a good job. I was so proud of him.
Wednesday-Today was work. I went in for about 3 hours. Ellen watched Tyson. Mary picked up Trent from school at 1 then Race and Kali at 2. I got home around 3:30. I am so thankful for my family helping with the kids.

Spring Break Day 5
The day was supposed to be relaxing then I had to go meet a lady at our shop to go over catalogs. So i dropped my kids off at Marys and headed to Gilbert. I was only gone 2 hours. Pretty good for the drive and meeting. Then Mary kept Kali for her "lucky day". Mary does lucky days with the kids. for races they went to the mall and took their pics in the photo booth and then did a mcdonalds run. today kali went to paint on pottey and painted an egg. aunt mary is just too nice. i came home with the kids and hung out for a little while then went to target. then we came home. i am actually going to go surprise ricky at the restaurant to just hang and watch him work. i know that sounds weird but lately when we are together there are kids all over us. i just went to go shut all the shutters so the babysitter dosent have to do that and i stepped in runny poop on tysons bed. yes the cute dog i am baby sitting pooped on his bed. i was quickly reminded why i really dont want a dog. fun to babysit but ready to let him go. he is cute but he is like having another child around chewing on things everywhere and constantly making sure he is not in trouble somewhere. i am ready to go hang with the hubby at work.
Spring Break Day 4
We left early to go out to the shop. I just had to stop in really quick then we headed to the Conways. The kids played outside with their swimsuits in the hose and ate lunch. They had so much fun. Then we had to pack up around 12 to head to 75th and Union HIlls for Averis 4 month check up. Nanci met me there and took the kids to the park and McDonalds to get a treat.
Averi was 14.12 lbs.(50-75th%), 25 inches (50-75%) long and her head was 16 inches (25th)%. She got 4 shots. She didnt cry for the first three then the killer came and she cried on the 4th. She didnt cry too long though. I did find out that I should kick her out of my room. WHAT?? She is my baby still. Yes she still sleeps in my room. okay okay she will leave in the next few days. She doesnt roll yet so she sleeps in the co sleeper next to me. AND the doc doesnt want me to feed her when she wakes up at 4. She said she will learn to "self soothe" back to sleep. WHAT? I am not going to have her cry and wake everyone else up nor do I want her to think I have ditched her. She also mentioned that if I am still feeding her in the night it could affect her metabolism. I am not 100% sure I believe that one. Anyways, and we need to do more tummy time. So we will work on that. Overall Averi is great. She is a happy fun fun baby.
Then we finally got home around 3:30 and Ricky was here and wanted to go to one of his YM's baseball games at 4. So we headed over to sunnyslope. We only stayed for a little bit because Ricky had EMT class at 6. He is really loving his class. He says that anyone with kids should take this class. He is learning a ton.

Red 26
For those that dont know, Ricky and his 3 brothers are doing the Az Ironman in just 24 days. They have created a tri club and named it red 26. The red symbolizes the color of the M dot for Ironman and 26 is the number of Iron on the periodic table. Ricky came up with that. Isnt he crafty? Anyways, we are going to print more shirts for the event. I am copying what my sister in law posted on her blog.
Red 26 T-Shirt's
Rick our brother started the Red 26 Tri Club since RPL didn't quite cover everyone anymore. The skull logo is quite intimidating and it will be nice and easy to spot all the Red 26 jerseys that the boys are wearing. A run of t-shirts will be printed for anyone who is interested in buying one. They will of course be RED and there are a few choices. If you are interested in ordering one, email me what you want. Even if you won't be at the race, order one and you will be supporting them in spirit! If you don't have my email, post your address in the comments section and I will email you.
Here are the choices:
Women's American Apparel T-shirt (nice and long!): Sizes: S - 2XL --> $10
Unisex Fruit of the Loom T: Sizes: S - 5XL --> $10
Youth T: Sizes: 2-4, 6-8, 10-12 or 14-16 --> $6
Bring Your Own Onesie (front logo only): $3.
Orders and money are due by Saturday, March 22nd and will be ready April 5th.
Here is a photo of the t-shirt design (although the front will have the word Tri Club written around the oval).
Spring Break Day 3
Day 3. My niece Bonnie came over so I could go to the gym. I love working out. I think it really could become an addiction for me. I really dont like cardio, but I think that is because I am so out of shape, but I love to lift. Then, I had to deliver shirts to El Mirage. Way too far for me but what can you do? I should have shipped them. After delivering the shirts we headed to the park. Butler Park was re-done not too long ago so the kids just love it. Ricky found a new running trail that he loves up by north mountain so he took off and did a 10 mile run. The sweet hubby that he is was going to go a long run but came home so I could go get a pedicure with my sister in law mary. That was much needed for me. Then last night the YM from our ward came over to make homemade root beer. race, kali and tyson thought that was so much fun to have the big boys around. Trent was already asleep when they got here.

Spring Break Day 2
Today was a work day. we all loaded up and took off to the shop. we did a quick stop at the artist then made it to the shop. i tried to corral the kids in the second office but tyson just wont stay in there. i totally thought he would if the other kids were with him. there is a movie, crayons, books, and a few toys but tyson just wont stay in there. he comes out and wants to run around the shop. well there are stairs with no railing, ink, chemicals, and hot dryers and a street. needless to say when he is out there i get nothing done. i am constantly pulling him away from trouble. race, kali and trent and averi stayed in the room and they actually like it. so i worked there for a while then i met holly for lunch at chick-fil-a. why is it the kids will either be so good or horrible??? tyson bumped his head, trent went into the MENS bathroom then proceeded to call for me to wipe him, so i went to yell at him through the door and i bumped tysons head on the door jam. then race came to help trent and all i heard was the two of them laughing. my guess is that the good big brother did an excellent job at wiping trent. race had never done that before. so yes, i was the comedy act for two older couples at Chick-Fil-A having a nice relaxing lunch. THEN race decided to sit on the back of one of the booths and who wants to copy BIG brother?? Tyson. So now Tyson was climbing on top of the table. FUN TIMES today. Good thing there are times when the kids are really good or else i would never take them out.
Then we headed home. the kids went crazy on the trampoline and i did some laundry. then pizza for dinner and now bath time.

Dog Sitting
Ricky and I have always wanted a goldendoodle. That is a golden retriever and poodle mix. We love the poodle breed because they are smart and they dont shed. Golden retrievers are so good with kids. My cousin Tricia just got one about a month ago. I told her that if she ever needed a sitter we would dog sit. so this weekend we got him. his name is Mallow, like a marshmello. He is pretty good. the kids are having so much fun with him. he is a really good dog. he has a great disposition. it makes me want one but we will wait until averi is about 2.
Trents 1st T-Ball
Trent had his first t-ball game today. He has always wanted to play baseball. He was so excited he could hardly sleep last night. He did really well. the league he is playing for is the RAMMS. It seems like it is a very laid back league. they play 2 innings. everyone gets to bat each inning. they run to first and stop then second and stop and so on. the final batter gets to hit everyone in. they are going to rotate who is the final batter but today was trents turn. he loved it. he totally thought he hit a grand slam. he is a really good hitter. he loved it.

crazy house
wow it has been a little while since i have posted. our house has been crazy. ricky is gone tuesday and thursday nights at an EMT class from 6-10, then mutual on Wednesdays, then he works as a manager for one of my brother in laws restaurants which is 40-50 hours a week including friday and saturday nights. then he is studying for his EMT class on top of the fireman test AND trying to squeeze in time to do some training for the ironman coming here shortly. I have been trying to run Tambo Ink all by myself. it is a little hard. i didnt think it would be that bad but the drive to gilbert is long and my house is always messy because i leave then the kids do in the morning and dont return until i pick them up at night. it is a bit crazy around here.
the kids seem to be handling it pretty well. my sister in law, mary does A LOT for me. she takes the kids practically everyday. every morning i have an email that says what is your schedule today can i help? what would i do without her? i would have a nervous breakdown. THANKS MARY! I LOVE YOU!!
